The demand for relevant, real time information in the office has grown dramatically in recent years as events from around the world have a direct and immediate impact on business. As a result, the variety of applications for television programming has increased as well.

VTV has installed satellite television systems for the following applications:

• Boardrooms
• Trading Floors
• Break Rooms/Kitchens
• Private Offices
• Private Local Area Networks (LANs)
• Multiple Dwelling Units/Private Residences/Condominiums

Each application has its own unique merit coupled with the variety of programming options available.

System Types

VTV will analyze the specific needs for each property and develop a system that best suits these needs. VTV develops systems in the following types:

Individual Receiver Distribution System (IRD)

IRDs allow each television to access VTV’s satellite infrastructure with its own receiver and an independent programming package.

The advantages to this system design include reduced installation fees, access to a fully managed infrastructure, and minimal impact on the building. This design may be utilized for commercial and MDU applications.

Satellite Master Antenna Television System (SMATV)

SMATVs consist of a pre-selected number of channels packaged into a single system and distributed to users in a property. The benefits of this type system include the elimination of receivers at each television, the elimination of monthly programming fees, access to a fully managed infrastructure, and minimal impact on the property.

This design is suitable for commercial and MDU applications, and requires that the owner of the property execute a programming agreement for the entire property.
